On a scorching Sunday in Shropshire several Newport (Shropshire) Cycling Club members took part in the third annual Shropshire Hills Sportive. The event which is organised by Mamil Cycling takes in some of the toughest hills in Shropshire such as Clee Hill and The Stiperstones.
Lucy Blythe, Di Jeggo and Dan Braddock took on the “Baby” route of 52 miles with James Lu and Malcolm Page taking on 70 mile route. Gareth Evans obviously ticked the box marked “I am a lunatic” as he took on the 100 mile route.
Again this event was brilliantly organised and despite it being hot, Shropshire was at its glorious best. Well done to Mamil for organising the event.
