Well that was a busy weekend for Newport Shropshire CC members! So where do we start?
Almost a full-page spread in The Newport Advertiser – see below…
Rosemary Homer had a Top Ten finish at the Wolverhampton Wheelers Crit Race on Saturday at Sundorne, Shrewsbury. Rosemary is certainly off to a flyer in her first season!
Tim Nelson headed north to ride the Market Drayton CC Reliability, with very favourable weather conditions.
It doesn’t end there either…
Pete Hudson achieved a 6th placing in the Pinvin LVRC road race.
Sean Lacey, Kev Sprules and Malcolm Page decided on testing their endurance by riding the Cheshire Cat Sportive with Crys York supporting and taking photos.
Phil Johnson rode the Wrekinsport Hilly TT and Alison Salthouse had some punctures when riding with some friends, but despite this Alison had a nice ride. Omar Hussein too was having fun whilst riding his new Pinarello (‘Bob’!) in Provence.
The B-Run headed out to Hinstock for Breakfast in the village hall, with the A-Run heading out to Sleap Airfield and back.
Finally, a delegation of Newport CC members headed up to Manchester to attend the Go-Ride Conference.
If we have missed anyone out please let us know. We are a busy and active club, on and off the bike.
PS. There may have been some cake consumed at some point.
