We’re delighted to announce that Tom Bullock will be joining the RST – @CycleDivision development team for the 2020 season. Tom has had an excellent season on road and track, having been accepted onto the Regional School of Racing for both disciplines. Tom was part of the West Midlands Squad which took the 2019 National Inter-Regional Track Championships.
RST-Cycle Division is one of the top development teams in the country and they already back some of the UK’s best young riders. The team is well known for its association with ex-Tour of Britain winner Chris Walker.
Newport CC Chairman Nick Jeggo said “Tom has made brilliant progress over the last couple of years and this is the perfect move for him. I’m delighted that Tom will be retaining his links with the club as he’s been a model club member – riding club runs, marshalling, attending club social events and taking the time to encourage our younger riders”
Tom said “I’d like to thank everyone at Newport Shropshire CC for getting me into cycling and all the support and guidance I’ve received over the last couple of years since I started racing.
I’m really excited and looking forward to joining RST-Cycle Division for next season and can’t wait to race with my new team mates”
RST-Cycle Division team principal Jonny Towers said “Tom will be a really good addition to our team, and we hope to keep developing him. Our plan is to keep supporting the promising youth and juniors following on from what Chris Walker did with the previous generation”.
Tom will continue to be coached by World Masters Track Champion and ex-GB rider Chris Pyatt of Inspire Cycle Coaching.
We wish Tom all the best for the future and we’ll be supporting him all the way!
