Lumpy, but lovely! A nice local sportive on 17th September.

Who fancies riding this sportive based in Stafford on 10th September? A nice 100km/62 mile route, good feed stations and even a beer token! (You might recognise the person on the mic as well!)

A good night for Jack and Charlie at Newcastle Track League. Very encouraging to see both guys riding aggressively, but with the tactical awareness to call off attacks and rest when necessary. Both took impressive wins, with Charlie sprinting particularly well and Jack completing the all category 10 mile scratch for the first time, clinching the C category win in the process. A really friendly atmosphere at Newcastle as usual. Shame there's only 3 weeks of Track League left!

Charlie Fisher and Jack Emmerson in action at Newcastle Track League.

Newport Cycling Club's inaugural C Ride. Ideal for beginners and anyone who finds the B rides a little too far and/or fast.
Distance will be 20 - 25 miles and the average speed will be around 12 - 13 mph. However, the priority will be to go at the speed of the slowest rider, so it may be slower.
As with almost all of the club's rides, there will be a cafe stop.
This first ride will be led by Clare Chick.

Nice B+ ride to Baschurch today. A new cafe to try and very good it was too! Well done to Andy Delamere who accidentally ended up on the B+ rather than the B ride as both rides left town simultaneously. Andy was on a hybrid, but did exceptionally well on his furthest and fastest ride since taking up cycling again just a couple of months ago. Good to have Adam Roper join us too. 55 miles covered, warm weather, good company and a nice cafe. What more could you want?
