Events

  • SUPER 1 (March) Newport Reliability, 53 miles, Sunday 07/03/10 , 9:30/9:45am. 20 points for all participants.
  • SUPER 2 Wednesday April 28th 10 mile Time Trial, 7pm Start, A442 Hodnet, junction of unclassified road "Ellerdine & Rowton", entry on line, Ran by our friendly rivals at Wrekinsport.
  • SUPER 3 Thursday May 20th Road Race, 35 miles, Penkridge Cricket Club, 7:30pm.
  • SUPER 4 Shropshire Highland Challenge, 20th June. 20 points for all participants.
  • SUPER 5 (July) Chain Reaction MTB Enduro, Grassington, Sunday 04th July, 10am.
  • SUPER 6 (October) Hill Climb, Sunday 17th October.
  • SUPER 7 Cyclocross Race, 1 hour race, date & details TBC.


Points System

Up to 20 points available for each event. Your best 5 results will count. 7 bonus points for anyone who competes in all 7 events.

The reliability and challenge rides are non-competitive events, all participants will receive 20 points.

For all other events, 10 points will be awarded for participation, plus up to 10 points depending upon performance, awarded as below.

In the event of a tie, priority will be given to points accumulated in competitive events. Ie: 20 points awarded in the Road Race will be worth more than 20 points from the Reliability Ride.

  • 2nd Newport rider 9 points (total 19)
  • 3rd Newport rider 8 points (total 18)
  • 4th Newport rider 7 points (total 17)
  • 5th Newport rider 6 points (total 16)
  • 6th Newport rider 5 points (total 15)
  • 7th Newport rider 4 points (total 14)
  • 8th Newport rider 3 points (total 13)
  • 9th Newport rider 2 points (total 12)
  • 10th Newport rider 1 point (total 11)
